Terms of use

Converts.to is provided by CROapps Oy, a limited company registered in Finland. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.

There is no charge, no account and no subscription. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

Conversion is a lossy business. A conversion can fail, can produce a file that is larger than you expected, or can lose quality, metadata, transparency, colour accuracy, layout or timing. Some combinations of format and browser are not supported at all, and the site will say so when it can detect that in advance.

Always keep your original file. Treat any result as a copy to be checked, not as a replacement for the thing you started with. We are not able to recover a file for you, because we never had it.

You keep all rights in the files you convert. Processing happens in your browser on your own device, so we never receive, store, inspect or acquire any interest in your content. Nothing in these terms grants us a licence to it, because there is nothing for such a licence to apply to.

You are responsible for having the right to use and convert the files you process, and for complying with the law that applies to you. Because we cannot see your files, we cannot vet, moderate or police what is converted, and you accept that responsibility yourself.

You agree not to use the site to:

• process material you have no legal right to process
• infringe another person's intellectual property or privacy
• work with material that is unlawful to possess or distribute where you are
• attack, overload, probe or interfere with the site, or attempt to circumvent its security
• republish the site as your own service, or scrape it at a scale that degrades it for others

The conversion engines are established open source libraries compiled to WebAssembly, and are used under their respective licences. Those licences apply to those components, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have under them.

The site's own design, copy, structure and format reference are the property of CROapps Oy and are not licensed for republication.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CROapps Oy is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, nor for loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights granted to you by the consumer law of your country of residence, and these terms do not affect them.

The site may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time without notice. Tools and supported formats may be added or removed as browser capabilities change.

These terms may be updated, and the revised version will be published on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes will be settled by the District Court of Helsinki, except that a consumer may always bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence where the applicable law gives them that right.
