When you pick a file, your browser opens it, converts it and hands it straight back as a download. It is the same work a desktop app would do, happening on this page instead.
Your files stay on your device
Nothing is transmitted, so there is no server copy to delete, no retention window and no third party holding a contract, a passport scan or a customer export. That is a property of how the site is built rather than a policy promise.
No upload wait

It works offline
