Trim video
Keep one continuous section and throw away the rest. If the cut can land in a convenient spot, the video is copied straight across, which takes a moment and costs no quality at all. Cutting on an exact frame means that part has to be redone.
How to use it
- 1 Add the video and let the preview load.
- 2 Drag the start and end handles, or type exact timecodes.
- 3 Choose the fast cut, or an exact one if the moment matters.
- 4 Trim and download the clip.

Questions about trim video
Does trimming reduce quality?
In copy mode, no. The existing compressed frames are moved into a new container untouched. A frame-exact cut has to re-encode the section between the cut point and the next keyframe, which is a small part of the file and usually invisible.
Why does my cut start slightly early?
Copy mode can only cut on a keyframe, and keyframes are typically two to ten seconds apart. The trim snaps to the nearest one before your start point. Switch to the exact mode when the timing has to be precise.
Can I remove a section from the middle?
Trim the part before it and the part after it, then join the two clips. Removing a middle section is two trims and a merge rather than a single operation.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The whole thing runs inside the browser tab you already have open. Your file is read straight from your own disk, worked on there, and handed back as a download. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and there is no account and no queue.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no server-side limit because there is no server. The practical ceiling is your device memory, since the file and its output both have to fit in the tab. Files up to a few hundred megabytes are usually fine on a desktop machine, while phones and older laptops will struggle sooner. If a large file fails, close other tabs and try again.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded once. The engine is cached by the browser, so you can turn off your connection, reload the page and keep working. That is a useful side effect of doing the processing locally rather than a separate offline mode you have to enable.
